About Us
Moulin Yarns is a small independent yarn dyer based near Pitlochry. We produce small batches of each colourway to ensure exclusivity for customers. A variety of techniques are used, giving a range of different finishes. Single, ‘one of a kind’ hand spun yarns are also available and can be seen being spun during open studios. We also make stitch markers and progress keepers for knitters, knitting and spinning themed earrings and have a range of small project bags available.
Because of the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions Moulin Yarns has not been able to take part in any physical events, but that doesn’t mean we have been sitting doing nothing. We now have a physical studio at Kinnaird Farmhouse, Pitlochry, PH16 5JL.
The Studio will generally be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 11am and 4pm and Sunday between 11am and 3pm.
If you are in the area on other days and wish to visit I ask that you phone the day before to check if we can open for you.
